Ever wonder what Emotional Intelligence (EQ) has to do with leadership, high functioning teams, effective communication, and thriving in work (and life)? Data show that EQ outranks IQ as the key indicator of professional success. In this session, we will break down the five pillars of Emotional Intelligence and apply this conceptual framework to the ways we show up as professionals and human beings. Come prepared to learn more about YOU and your own EQ profile, and the understand the connection between Emotional Intelligence and Growth Mindset, team effectiveness, psychological safety, giving and receiving feedback, leading up, down and across, and more. Our workshop will be hands- on, participative and collaborative, and will include practice sessions, lecture and group discussion. 

Instructors: Marcy Porus-Gottleib has worked with countless leaders in a wide variety of organizations and industries within both the private and public sectors and focuses on leadership communication, psychological safety, emotional intelligence, managing transitions, personal branding, and building curiosity as an avenue to innovation, among other topics. She holds a BA from Brown University, an MBA from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, and multiple coaching certifications and credentials.
